Since I know that if I choose Talents myself, I'll tend to gravitate toward the few I think are "the best" and avoid the many that I'm not at all sure are worth the points, I created randomized tables to select Talents to ensure that I will use them in pre-gens and NPCs to get a feel for how they actually work out and can adjust pricing when running RMU to match how I perceive their actual worth.
Then, I thought that others might find such tables useful, even if not for the same reasons, so here's what I came up with:
Firstly, roll for the type of talent, based on the profession of the character (magical talents are pretty much useless to any Arms character, while a pure caster (here including hybrids) is unlikely to get much from a combat talent without leaning into the combat training harder than is normal.
Arms Character:
01-30 Combat
31-40 Discipline
41-50 Physical
51-75 Senses
76-100 Other
Pure Caster
01 Combat
02-06 Discipline
07-56 Magical
57-65 Physical
66-80 Senses
81-100 Other
Semi-
01-25 Combat
26-33 Discipline
34-58 Magical
59-66 Physical
67-83 Senses
84-100 Other
