Well, party wiped last week. Funny thing is they didn't like it but saw how it happened and were very excited about rolling new characters (even starting at first level again).
LOL! When my old gaming group was transitioning to Rolemaster players were going through as many as six characters a night. But nobody minded.
Seriously, when a D&D fight goes badly it's "You took 79 points of damage, but you still have one left...."
When a rolemaster fight goes badly it's "You fumbled your swing and cut off your own ear. You are unable to parry the Kobold's unarmed attack. He punches you in the liver, causing you to vomit blood and twitch helplessly for five rounds. This gives the Kobold caster plenty of time to throw an Iceball at you. The Iceball fractures your pelvis. You will writhe in helpless agony for the next 10 rounds. Then you will die."
When your kick ass fighter is just to totally and uterly
owned by two pissant NPCs, you can't help but just laught it off and grab another character sheet.
