Slaved myself but not really going to be able to finish today editing and finalizing is taking a lot longer than I anticipated. I'm going to stop posting due dates and just let you guys know when I'm done with the whole book. Apologize to anyone who's disappointed.

The difficulty to proceed always manifolds as you approach the end. Ask best selling authors like George R. Martin. and they would tell you same. In any case your project sounds very promising.

Update:

The book is still happenning. I took a two week break over Christmas and reviewed the material during the first week of January. I have no idea wether I'm going to write another book such as this one in my life, though if it's any good I already have some stuff written for a follow-up, and since I was unhappy with some of the stuff I scrapped it and rewrote it.

I feel things are moving towards completion now, and am working with a due-date, but I'm going to abstain from sharing it for now. My players are very happy with the results so far, which makes me optimistic the whole thing will be at least interesting for GMs out there.

So, still 10 proffesions, 61 spell lists. I should hope the next time I post in this thread will be to tell you guys I'm done and Nichollas has a review copy in his inbox.

What deployment route have you decided on or is that still in the air?

It's mostly up to Nichollas to decide. If they believe it can somehow be incorporated to the official books cool, otherwise I'll put it somewhere where it can be downloaded for free. Right now it's not a very heavy download as I still have to add a lot of illustrations, but I'd imagine it'll end up being around 120-140 pages in "RMCompanion-format".

Almost done. 5/61 spell lists are driving me crazy, once I'm satisfied with them, Nichollas will have a pdf in his inbox and it'll be up to him what to do about my work.

I'm having a blast with this whole thing but, honestly, it's a lot of work. I've clocked in in excess of 500 hours already.

Clock is low, mind too fast, writting WAY too slow.

One more profession has made its way to the book, final one this time, another Channeling Semi with a very special twist called the Demon Hunter tentatively.

So now just 4/67 spell lists to finish up. Bah.

You thought I'd never do it, I thought I'd be done ages ago. Let's settle with today, today is a fine day.

I'm done. Book is finished and it's indeed a book. I'm going to sit on it for two weeks and re-read work before submitting it. The fact that I've managed to finish the whole ordeal is incredible for me. Got the dog, planted a tree, now wrote a book.

There's 11 new professions with completely new spell lists to go around, along with crit tables, a few rules and lots of stuff all round. Altogether there's 700 hours or so of my time in this thing.

So; done. Finished. Two weeks of re-reading and I'll submit it to Nichollas see what he wants to do with it. There's a potential follow-up in the works, 5 professions so far, but one step at a time.

Cheers.

I've been traveling a bit more than what's probably healthy, but I still managed to send a 90% draft to Nicholas today. Airport lounges will mean I will send the 100% draft within days, since I did change a couple of things in the end.

Up to the pros to decide what will happen with my "Chicken Companion", thus named after my cowardly players who ALWAYS run away from dragons. Would you believe that? I know, Right?

Since ICE is busy at the moment it's taking a wee longer than I anticipated to get a final decision on what's going to happen with my work. Right now I'm sitting on a 110 page PDF which depending on what ICE has to say about it I'll have to rework it a bit (remove the illustrations I've used for my own copy) or not. Were it to go the ICE way I'd assume they'd take a bit more time and add some more illustrations, so I'd imagine it would grow to about 130-140 pages.

The good thing about this wait is that I'm taking my time to include some stuff which I thought I wasn't going to be able to include like the Large and Super Large critical tables for Cold/Heat/Impact/Electricity and Unholy (there's an Unholy Bolt and Ball and normal Critical Tables for Unholy too).

Plus, one of my players recently complained I had let my GMing slip a bit recently, which I had as I'd been devoting most my free time to completing the book.

Finally, I've drafted a further seven professions and started work on them and their respective spell lists, target as always is six new spell lists per professions. Been reading a lot of history books recently, you see, and that tends to brew good ideas. These professions will probably go into a second book sometime later this year unless everyone agrees, both inside ICE and outside, that I'm wasting my time.

We could make an informed decision if you happen to give us a sneak peek. :P

Although in general, I'm of the belief that more rich content to chose from is a good thing. :)
