Chaositech & the Unlife
« on: March 11, 2014, 01:15:25 PM »
I was reading some stuff by Monte Cook (Ptolus) and one thing whose concept I find interesting is Chaositech (available as a supplement).

This is something created by a force (the Galchutt) that basically wants to destroy everything, everywhere and is nether magic nor technology. It's powerful but corruptive; using it can turn the user towards chaos and the Galchutt and help them achieve their destructive ends.

Sounds like the sort of thing the Unlife might be into.

If i remember rightly, Chaositech is a repackaging of material from Cook's Dark Space setting for RM2. It's been a while since I looked up the later item....

I've got Dark Space and it certainly looks as if you are right in that, although the technology in Dark Space has a definite feel of technology to it which chaositech doesn't. The general feel and names do seem very similar, and in some cases are identical.
