The oldest of my 3 dogs was a rescue from New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina that got evacuated to Houston, just in time for Houston to be hit by Hurricane Rita. Windy days, thunderstorms, fireworks... it takes hardly anything to make her want to try to hide under my feet, and I can't honestly say I blame her.
