SM:P VM Features Q
« on: March 12, 2011, 04:59:44 PM »
 I was wondering if the following features on pages 120-121 are correct or seem correct; Armored Cockpit +10%, Shielded Weapons +10%, Top Quality Weapons +10% and Well Shielded Drives +10%?

 To me it seems the Top Quality Weapons cost is too high, Well Shielded Drives is too low and the formula for Armored Cockpit should be 10% +1% per 2 bridge crew (or something close to this) and Armored Gunner should be 10% + 1% per 2 gunners (or something like this).

What do you think?

As a general rule, those things scale with the size of the ship.  For instance, your bridge doesn't take a bigger percentage of a ship because the ship is bigger.  It's typically a proportion of the ship's size and the cost increase is also a percentage of the ship's size.

Defendi;
 Thanks for the quick reply and info.
 Any comments on the % for top quality weapons? Maybe drop down to 5% as it does not have a big as impact on ships as the other design options?
