That could make the diameter of the spell theoretically pretty big. If your playing a 7foot tall character and we are saying that the spell is effective 1 foot from the body then, if the 7 foot character has his arms outstretched, the diameter of the spell would be 9 feet. (1 foot to hand + 7 feet body reach + 1 foot from hand  = 9 feet).

I guess ultimately in the end it is up for interpretation by the GM. Both concepts can work, but I must say I like JasonBrisbanes version of it also. I have played it both ways and both work depending on your GMing style. As they say in the legal world "Letter of the Law or in the Spirit of the Law" its all up for interpretation. ;)

Hi, While you  are correct, the person still only has one foot each side of there body. Saying its 9' diameter doesnt allow them to slip an extra 4 people inside the radius, because they take up 90% of that area - it is still only 1 foot diamter...

So there is no bonus for a rhona using this to a human with giantism using this!

(Except a rhona may not be able to reach near the top hinge of a door to silence it, whilst a "giant" could but would have numerous other difficulties...
ie since a giant is taking up so much extra room, he cant slip by people/guards - a rhona with a total area of 4 foot max may but a giant with 9 foot ?? The talking guards would suddenly be silent and thus be aware of a magic effect...

There are ways for the GM to screw over the PC's with the spell either way: you just have to know how to be really sneaky  :evil1:

But, look who I'm talking to!!!  ;D  :D  ;D  :D
