Monkey business...

Concerning the Monkey Style MA...

Am I correct?...

PC uses ranks in the style only to determine additional DB? Otherwise, he actually uses Acrobatics skill for his roll?

So a PC would want to increase his Acrobatics in order to increase his roll modifier and increase his Monkey Style only to get extra DB? If this is the case, can the PC's Acrobatics ranks exceed his MA Strikes ranks?

*Believe it or not, this is in reference to a Dwarf Monk!... with Monkey Style!... brings some very funny mental pics!

No, not correct.

Note that the key words in the style description are "in addition to a normal attack". A normal attack would use the Style's total bonus as the basis for OB.

In a given round, a practitioner of the style may

1) Make an attack -- OB is based on the skill with the style.

AND

2) May make an Acrobatics roll to gain a bonus to DB, that bonus being equal 5 + (5 per every 5 ranks in Monkey Style) if the Acrobatics roll is successful.
