That seems cumbersome and also gives weird results. If you use a sword and dagger (classic two-weapon style), you do less damage than a sword alone.
Uh, what? Considering you get to choose the weapon table for damage calculation, I fail to see how you can do "less damage than a sword alone" when using a sword and dagger if you do not want to, since all you'll have to do is to choose the sword table.
The world was then consumed by darkness, and mankind was devoured alive and cast into hell, led by a jubilant 紗羽. She rejoiced in being able to continue serving the gods, thus perpetuating her travels across worlds to destroy them. She looked at her doll and, remembering their promises, told her: "You see, my dear, we succeeded! We've become legends! We've become villains! We've become witches!" She then laughed with a joyful, childlike laughter, just as she kept doing for all of eternity.

Multiple opponents is the circumstance that Musashi recommended two weapons for, after all: "It is better to use two swords rather than one when you are fighting a mob, and especially if you want to take a prisoner." A DB bonus is also not unreasonable.
One could argue that Musashi's case is a martial art one, meaning martial rules would apply, meaning one could attack several opponents under condition (see the martial arts table).

I must have misunderstood what you were saying. I thought that you were averaging the results, but now that I look at the numbers again I see that is not correct.

Well, the only tricky part is the bonus due to the weapons. Add both bonuses? Average them? Take the highest? The lowest? I went for averaging the bonuses, but I guess a GM can decide whether to take the highest or the lowest just as well (adding both would probably be way too generous.)

There's nothing wrong with talking about old/new ideas.  ::) I know that my opinions about rules change over time. It's nice to have a place where we can hash it out.  :)
Also, it's not always easy to dig through the archives..
