Is this allowed (copyright Q)
« on: April 07, 2009, 07:54:15 AM »
I have hard copies and pdf copies of the seven rule books. I don't use all the rules or setting stuff in my games. This can be a little confusing for players. Would I be allowed cut and paste the sections I use from the seven books, add in my houserules and print off a copy for personal use?

The fact that character sheets always come with a note saying you can copy for personal use would suggest that I can't with the rest of the book. Is this correct?

Yes, seriously. Once you have purchased the product(s), you are allowed to mangle (bend, fold, spindle, re-organize, etc...) it in any fashion you choose.  ;D

What you cannot do is to distribute the results to anybody outside your immediate gaming group (it is expect that you will share the results with them).

Mental note; dont publish on lulu, got it :)

Seriously, group use is all I need it for. My writing sucks far too much to try becoming a game designer off of other peoples work.
