Construct Question
« on: December 10, 2008, 09:33:24 PM »
I'm doing some construct building for an NPC and note that it's more costly for the construct to be a Large creature than to have two levels taken off the crits. Given that constructs are immune to stun and bleeding, it seems like it would be better to have crits two levels lower than Large crits, as the Large ones deal more hits. There is the issue of penalties and "you're dead" results, but overall, it seems that it's better to be two levels lower on crits than Large if you're immune to stun and bleeding.

Am I missing something?

And a second question:
Mithril isn't listed on the chart of materials for constructs. Do I just use Adamantium stats?

I think that's for avoidind any problem with TE. Using Adamantium stats seems a reasonable solution to me
I suppose a magician might, he admitted, but a gentleman never could.

The criticals table is 6.13 on page 57 of Construct Companion and the materials are listed in tables 6.4-6.6 on pages 53 and 54.

Thanks!

It's because reducing crits by one or two levels is deemed less potent an ability than being Large or SuperLarge in Rolemaster.
