What material would people like to see?
« on: July 15, 2009, 03:16:53 PM »
Just curious, what new stuff would people like to see written for Shadow World? Emer III & IV obviously, but also Artefacts & Lost Tech. Other than that, and taking some ideas from other threads, I think the regular pdf supplement, Creatures of Kulthea, Lords of Kulthea (maybe, some stuff is already in Powers), a Fortresses series and maybe some more city books.

It's probably a tad optimistic to expect Terry to have the time to do everything wanted, but maybe some collaborations would be possible.

I would still LOVE to see an Urulan supplement.

It just seems to be a big important area that is largely undefined and it stands out as a sore thumb considering how well Terry has detailed much of the rest of Jaiman.

I remember a poll a few years ago when it scored quite high but I haven't seen it mentioned again much at all since then   :-(

Artifacts & Lost Technology would be great for me if it clarified some aspects, such as more detailed rulings on the Ilarsir, etc.

I second the Artifacts & Lost Tech stuff. I will go ahead and add some detailed info on the Earthwardens and the other lost "empires".

A History book that sort of tells what life was like in the Second Era of Ire and/or earlier in the Third Era of Ire would be very cool, as well.

How about a new version of the Tales of the Loremasters Adventure books.  Specialized for Emer & Jaiman.  That way a GM, such as myself, could purchase a set of Adventures set in whichever of the two major campaign worlds they are using.

Witchking - that is the sort of thing that could be a compilation of adventures generated by the community and perhaps editted and pulled together (and vetted!) by Terry.

You read my mind. Tales, especially II, were just short adventures. II was mostly 2-3 page scenarios. It would be nice to have a collection all set in the same geographic area.

Exaclty.  At least that way you could start play in one basic geographic area and have (between the source book & a Tales suppliment) a dozen or so Adventures to start with.

Lets finish Emer ( E3 and 4 ), get Artifacts and Lost Technologies, then we can start nagging Terry for other stuff.

I for one would love to see the Grand Campaign completed... the small bit already available leaves me panting and wondering.

Otherwise books about :

- the various gods of Kulthea ( both global and local ) along with some descriptions of the various religious organizations would be great. ( I know it's partially in Powers... but it's just a tiny part of the whole thing )

- the non religious organization, in detail. One book about the Navigator guilds, another one about the Loremasters, ... for each organization that could fill in a book...

514 to see, 416 to lock, 614 to shot...Target downed...Ask the marines to pick up the pieces.

RM, RM2, RMSS, RMFRP, HARP,  MERP, Cyberspace, SM, SM2, SM:P, Star Strike, Armored Assault, SD , SD : The Next Millenium, Bladestorm, Battle of the Five Armies .... Collecting ICE production since the epoch...

I would love to see a suppliment written specifically about Navigators & Loremasters & how to incorperate PCs into their world.

You guys are all about the Navigators and Loremasters! I'm kind of surprised. But otherwise, it sounds like we are somewhat on the same page: Finish Emer, Urulan, Artifacts. Then we'll see.

Well, those are two very important organizations on Kulthea that can have a huge impact on a game.

For example, a character I have thought of was the apprentice of a retired loremaster, who has recently passed away (nothing suspicious, old age). Information on the loremaster organization and where the old master could fit in would be extremely helpful in backstory - and some past secrests that come up to haunt the former apprentice.

I've actually got player characters who are getting to the point in knowledge/power/influence that it is becoming a factor for me.  After you've saved a few towns and edeared your self to a King or Two, who next?

Instead of more information on Navigators and Loremasters, I would like to see additional information on other parts of the Kulthean western hemisphere (other than Jaiman and Emer). It doesn't have to be very detailed, just some expanding on the (helpful, but very minimal) info found in the master atlas on those other continents. Additional information on races/cultures, major cities, empires, geography, major historic events. Some broad, general down-to-earth stuff about the average lands and inhabitants could make it easier for GM's and players to start a campaign in one of those places, should they wish to venture off 'the track' for some good reason.

There are some old, out of print modules and supplements that detail some of these areas. For areas outside of Jaiman & Emer, there's Kingdom of the Desert Jewel available as a pdf, but there's also Star Crown Empire and the Sea of Fates, Nomads of the Nine Nations and Islands of the Oracle if you can acquire them from somewhere.

I think city books - especially Leathys in Rhaakhaan.

Also - how about some adventures back in the day of Andraxx an co. - in their heyday?

Keep up the good work - love it all!!!

There is quite a good unofficial supplement on Lethys. It would be nice if it could be updated and made approved, although I'm not sure if the original author is still available.

More Jaiman modules, perhaps city books?
