Half-Dwarves
« on: December 20, 2010, 01:23:55 PM »
Thought I remembered reading in an RM2 book about half-dwarves, but for the life of me I can't find the info. Not looking for Dwelfs, but human-dwarf hybrids. Can anyone confirm/deny my recollection? I've checked C&T I, II, III, Companions 1-7 and most of the Historic books (Pirates, At Rapiers' Point, etc). Quickly checked Arms companion, Spell Users companion, alchemy companion and elemental companion too...

Sorry I do not remember a 1/2 dwarf entry but many of the other races were just adding the relevant stuff together and dividing by 2.

You might also try some of the  "Not to Be Named Books" to see if there is anything in there.

Good Luck.

Of course be careful about the jokes you might get about asking about a 1/2 Dwarf.

BTW, already cobbled together stat bonuses & penalties, professions allowed, etc...just wanted to compare to "official" Half-Dwarves...

Shottglazz;
You can also post your race and ask for comments from the ICE Forums. Also include some of the other races you use as an example to see if your new creation is too powerful or over balanced. IMHO you do not need to list all of the others just say what you use and your general play style. This is so someone who uses high stat options and BO from the RoCO's can be distinguished from the person who just uses the basic books.

Good Luck.

Also just a note that I posted in another section, I was reading an article about some conflict in Africa and the writer wrote something like this "...six armed men attacked..." To which jumped into my mind, hay someone has done some genetic engineering and created men with six arms. and not only that they unleashed them in Africa.
Then I put my role-playing mind away and shifted back to normal and realized what the writer was trying to say.

Death to half races...after death to all game worlds were multple races have no logical reason for being there other than "cuz".
I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time... like tears in rain... Time to die.

LOL yup, gotta watch the 1/2race jokes...
You have to understand that: dwarves are small enough so imagine half dwarves!
The world was then consumed by darkness, and mankind was devoured alive and cast into hell, led by a jubilant 紗羽. She rejoiced in being able to continue serving the gods, thus perpetuating her travels across worlds to destroy them. She looked at her doll and, remembering their promises, told her: "You see, my dear, we succeeded! We've become legends! We've become villains! We've become witches!" She then laughed with a joyful, childlike laughter, just as she kept doing for all of eternity.

Then there are the 4 different races to consider - the top-half Dwarves, bottom-half Dwarves, left-half Dwarves and their brothers the right-half Dwarves. :)

Half-Dwarves aren't half as confusing as half-halfling, which are called quarterlings, although they're actually more like three-quarterslings because they're taller.

There's so many others, too, like the Dwarf-Troll mixes, the Dolls.

The Dwarf-Orc mixes, the Dorcs.

The Elf-Orc mix, the Elc.

The Troll-Human blend, the Truman.

The Pixie-Orc blend, the Porc.

The Dwarf-Dragon hybrid, the Dwagon.

The Giant-Ent hybrid, the Gent.
