Thanks. I've checked vs the previous edition and the Spell Law contents and both the wound category and the spells to heal it have been added in RMU.

For RMU? The rule is:

"Any wound not given a specific injury from the above descriptions (bleed, bone, burn, muscle/tendon, organ), is a Skin & Tissue injury."

So when in doubt, that's your answer. Body cells is non-specific since your whole body is made of cells, I suppose it's generalized flesh damage and the associated pain.

Black Channels I - Thrayn's Touch is described as follows :
Disrupts body cells; Foe operates at -50.

Apparently, RMU added one detail (duration of effect).

But as far as I know, nothing says what type of damage it is and how it can be healed, if it can.

Nerve damage ? Organ damage ? Is it minor, major, or something else ?

You Only Need One Herbalism Check to Prepare and Apply an Herb

JDale clarified on Discord (9 Sept. 2026) that you don't need separate Herbalism checks to prepare an herb and then apply it; rather, you just make one Herbalism check to do both. Note this is a change from RMSS/FRP.

Discussion:

[9:36 AM] jdale: You should need one Herbalism maneuver when going from raw herbs to application to patient. Core Law doesn't get into the details of herbs so it just notes that an Herbalism maneuver is required (section 13.1 p252). Treasure Law describes this in more detail but it's not meant to be an additional step IMO. The intention is that the preparation step is where that Herbalism maneuver comes into play.

This is different of course from RMSS/RMFRP where you even needed different skills for the preparation and the application.

Last post by Micael - September 07, 2026, 05:20:38 PM
**With the next update  of Ardems FRP/RMSS  Extension lots of new functions are coming: **
1. **Record and replay attacks:** Record attack sequences and targets, then replay them with fresh dice.
2. **Direct-drop targets:** Preserve the actual target of a dragged attack die when recording.
3. **Emergency Stop:** Immediately stop Auto, clear recorded actions and pending resolver state, and start fresh recording.
4. **Reset Actor:** Replace only the active actor's recorded sequence.
5. **Fresh linked results:** Roll new critical, fumble and resistance results during replay.
6. **Round completion:** Finish the recorded round and return control to the GM.
7. **Completed-RR handoff:** Continue into Auto after a completed manual RR, even while its table remains open.
8. **Spell Failure selection:** Open the relevant spell list after a failed SCM and select the actual spell.
9. **Negative-only Spell Failure modifiers:** Apply T-4.6 deductions with the SCM failure multiplier; ignore positive casting bonuses.
10. **Visible T-4.6 breakdown:** Show individual deductions, ignored bonuses and the final failure-roll modifier in chat.
11. **Arcane failure area:** Apply Arcane failure effects to the caster and eligible mapped targets within one foot per spell level.
12. **One-shot attack-table RR modifiers:** Apply the Base Spell table modifier to its associated RR, then consume it.
13. **Modified RR comparison:** Include the selected personal RR bonus and attack-table modifier in the displayed pass/fail total.
14. **Attacker-side weapon fumbles:** Resolve the weapon's linked fumble table once and apply the result to the attacker.
15. **Psychic Bolt critical choice:** Replay only the recorded critical type, with fresh severity and dice.
16. **Adhesive escape:** Use open-ended d100 + 50 + 3 × Strength bonus − adhesive penalty + attempt modifiers. Ordinary failure adds −10 to future attempts.
17. **SpaceMaster weapon range conversion:** Convert metre-based ranges to feet for normal weapon attacks without changing source-module values.
18. **Robotic Manual** Android Crits are now a own category beside LA/SL/ Android LA/Android SL and will automatically be used if a Android race is choosen or NPC get Android choosen in crit reduction fields.
19. **"Called Shots"** rules from RM2 is implemented as option in the resolver above the crit field on the left side- if checked a location has to be choosen and -20 on attack OB is deducted: the crittable is then checked downward from the rolled result, if such a location crit exists- if not 01 result is taken- 66 is only used as UM.

Shadow World / Shadow World and Zelasnys Nine...
Last post by Micael - September 07, 2026, 05:15:07 PM
**Do you know the Amber Chronicles from Zelasny and that there is a similarity in basic function of reality in Kulthea?**
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After finishing with "songs from the shadow" our community song project Link, I started with my Amber Song project together with Frostforge, where the first song "No Throne is waiting" Youtubelink and after a time reading into the lore I realized that they are similar not only in name. Here is why, but what do you think? By the way I loved the Diceless Amber RPG and the descriptions of the abilities and try to use it in many RPG campaigns beside the main rules.

1. **The Pales as "Shadows" of the Prime Reality**

In Zelazny's Amber series, the universe consists of one "true" world (Amber), and all other parallel worlds are merely "Shadows"—imperfect reflections of Amber. The closer a Shadow is to Amber, the more it resembles it. The further away, the more distorted and chaotic it becomes. The Book of the Pales (non canon but based on canon) establishes almost the exact same cosmological rule:
**The Terminology: **The Pales are explicitly defined as "reflections or shadows of the world the Althans knew"

**Inherent Supremacy: **
The sources note that the Althans and Ka'ta'viiri refer to these dimensions as the "Pales," "a term of course implying that all other dimensions are inferior to their own"
This mirrors the hubris of the Amberites, who look down on the inhabitants of the Shadow worlds.
**Proximity and Distortion: **Just like in Zelazny's work, the Pales are ranked by their "distance" and accessibility. The First Pale (Entropy) is the easiest to access, while the Sixth Pale is a brutal, hellish landscape.
The realms beyond the Pales (the Outer Void) are so alien and chaotic that they "lead to madness"
2. **The Cosmic Axis of Order vs. Chaos**
Zelazny's multiverse is balanced on a cosmic axis between absolute Order (represented by the Pattern/Amber) and absolute Chaos (represented by the Logrus/Courts of Chaos). The Encyclopædia Kulthea outlines this exact metaphysical framework:
The Threshold of Reality: Kulthea is described as standing "on the threshold between universes—a wild, chaotic one where magic rules (worlds like the demon-inhabited Pales); and the one where only physical laws apply"

**The Pattern vs. The Abyss:** If the polar "Eyes of Utha" are ever destroyed, Kulthea will shift entirely into either a universe where magic fails or one "where flowstorms are continuous and the chaotic demons rule" —which is a perfect description of Zelazny's Courts of Chaos.
**The Lines of Reality: **Scribes of the Nomikos Library explicitly write that "Order and Chaos can mean a number of things... including opposite lines of reality... the world of Kulthea exists somewhere in between what we could consider absolute Order and absolute Chaos" (Players guide)
3. **Traveling the Pales vs. "Walking in Shadow"**
In Amber, characters of the royal bloodline travel across parallel worlds by altering their environment, adding or subtracting elements as they "walk in Shadow." Shadow World features a highly similar mechanic when traveling through the Pales:
**Distance Warping:** In the First Pale (Entropy), "distance in the Pale is also covered more than 4x as fast. This makes travelling through the Pale a means of long-distance travel in Kulthea"

**Shadow Paths: **Entering the First Pale and exiting in a different location allows travelers to cross vast distances on Kulthea in a fraction of the time
The Book of Pales notes that "navigating the end point is imprecise at best, and only a handful of Mages have mastered this method of dimensional travel"
This mimics the complex mental concentration required to safely navigate Zelazny's Shadow paths.
4. **The Name Itself:
**The setting is literally named "Shadow World" and if you remember the SW novel stormriders? There a couple from earth is moved to Kulthea through an Essaence storm portal...
5. Travelling through the flows during an Essaence storm in the novels looks similar in description as a hellride...

There would be open questions for people who don´t know Amber, about this strange cover fusing the 80ties style with fantasy: The idea of the project is travelling through parallel worlds as described in the novels similar to our earth and meeting different artists and songs that are just similar to what we listened to during the 80ties but not the same. So think about what you will probably find in Shadow Vienna- the second song of this publication...

With the next update of Ardems Forge FRP/RMSS package, the Spacemasterblasterlaw will include the **Robotics Manual**- you will now be able to create and play a Robot or Android- you will have your own critical tables assigned to you by Fantasy Grounds automatically and can use all attack & crittables incl. such egnimatic weapons like a chainsaw or Powersword. Of course for NPC Robots these tables are used, too. For more functions look here:
Link

*f you not already know, *the last podcast in this series will have a very detailed discussion about the Tech Law Privateers: Robotic Manual to help all listeners with playing a Android or Robot: Link

In addition with the help of Sorloc we converted all the **SM2 races into Spacemaster Privateers** (even a few aliens but all Transhumans using the FRP talent system as a base reference) and you can know use the Imperial Settings together with Spacemaster in Fantasy grounds.

Well, done right, it could add some sense of diversity to a campaign. For game purposes, I'd propose it to result in the same overall bonus DP, but with different details. If you are ONLY using the strength/mass influence, it will always be better to play a human man, which doesn't look right to me.
