the Navigator Sulfean just arrives at Nomikos and is now entering the Great entrance (video):
video link arrival Nomikos
Note that the description from the Library outside in Jaiman 2ed  is not 1/1 what T.K.Amthor posted as original picture in Jaiman 2ed. There for the video is using the original picture from Terry and the picture the description from Jaiman 2ed.

Again there are those who read and others who like to listen... so here you are, an audiobook version of the above "The Loremaster´s Legacy II: Rise of the Shadowveile" part 2: The transition in Nomikos: audiobook link part2

Have fun!

RMC/RM2 / Re: Disengage from melee
Last post by Frabby - April 15, 2025, 10:46:29 AM
Disengaging as such isn't the same thing as running away though. And it certainly doesn't indicate you're turning your back to the enemy. That *could* happen if the player announces it as their action, and try to sprint/run away at max speed hoping their pursuer won't have a high enough initiative to pursue.

Instead, we've always treated this as a full parry action that seeks to increase distance between the combatants to beyond melee range. It will work automatically in many cases, depending on the declared action of the other party. But if your opponent declared "Press and melee" then you're out of luck... however your opponent may find they're now out of position. My players have in fact used this as a tactic to lure out stupid opponents to allow for other PCs to get flanking or rear attacks.

Awesome, thanks Jdale! I have had most of this printed out in a folder for two decades, but a few pages were missing and it irked me no end.

FWIW... Creature Law on Roll20 is ready to go as well too.   It just needs the [REDACTED] and [REDACTED] and otherwise 400+ creatures are ready to make your VTT very unfriendly.

So the pending release for this fortnight is now ready.  Missed last week due to travel.

So this is a lot of little bug fixes from various sources. First is an update to consistent use the same name for the injury and status penalties everywhere.  Now they actually work.

A fix to make crit rolls all work, a stupid typo for Healers casting spells, you can manually remove stun effects.

Background updates include some tweaks to treasure law equipment... and all of Creature Law creatures are now ready to rumble.

    - Fix some typos in the skill roll messages.
    - Fix crit roll lookups.
    - Fix subtle penalty Channeling/Mentalism.
    - Status and Injury penalty names were sometimes inconsistent.
        - Move to statuspenalty and injurypenalty everywhere.
        - Transitory data, so should not impact anyone.
        - Fixes issue where penalties were not applying to attacks.
    - Treasure Law:
        - Fix sizes on some weapons.
        - Correctly specify attack tables on weapons.
    - Attacks:
        - Add a button to remove target.
        - Fix styling of the target drop downs.
    - Staus
        - Add a button (three actually) to remove stuns
    - Creature
        - Content complete
        - Unscale creature hits.

It appears to be this: https://rpggeek.com/rpg/1447/the-window
Also https://archive.org/details/the-window-rpg-2nd-ed.-deluxe/The%20Window%20RPG%202nd%20ed.%20deluxe
And a review https://www.rpg.net/reviews/archive/9/9941.phtml

Not really sure that anyone who hangs out on the ICE forums is looking for a rules-light narrative RPG, but there you go.

General Discussion / Time flies…

After I had wrapped up the last adventure that I GMed in our long-running Middle Earth campaign, another player took over as GM and I got to play again. I decided to play my original primary character for this setting, who mostly featured as a NPC while I GMed.
Checking our logs, we found that this character had last been played in 2014!
