Monster Poison
« on: November 10, 2007, 09:15:11 AM »
Hi to All Folks from cloudy France!
One question about Monster poison. How calculate the CRR for poison from monsters? in the rules (p143) the number is 120 for no effects, 110 for 1d100-20 for critical table, and on, and on...
How doing for great monsters like Shelob for exemple? In MERP SHE's level 50 (in the old module (I dont't know it's name in english, in french it is: "L'antre de Shelob et la Tour de Cirith Ungol"). Her poison is equal that those of other great spiders (bestiary from HARP rule book p154)? Or stronger? How determine the score number?

Hi,

I wouldnt use the standard Monster poison for a great one such as Shelob.
I would increase the difficulty by at least +30 (for each level) so the No Effect would be 150, etc.

I dont have my books with me, but Monsters:A Field Guide may have something else for you in this regards... ANyone have access to MAFG to clarify?
