I have basically all of Emer IV done except the layout text of the City of the Dead (still debating how to handle that; it is far too massive to do a complete layout so I may do an overview map, and the some detailed sections. How does that sound?) and some adventures.

Something like the way the maps in Moria were done would work.

Final word: I will never complete the 'Grand Campaign.' (That was actually a rather painful period during my breakup with ICE). But I welcome others to continue it!  :-)

Having read all the new material, I'm not even sure how you could complete it without starting over from scratch. So much has changed, and in a good way.

Just one note. I did not like the illustration of Jenkyna in the Grand Campaign. It was a nice piece of art, but it really didn't seem to fit the character. Looked more like a maniacal human to me.

I think the art of Jenkyna and Ondoval from powers really fits the K'ta'viir, plus it kind of takes me back to the art style in the 80s ICE books, not to mention the overall punk rock feel of the characters that really sets them apart from the normal denizens of ShadowWorld. Anyways in powers the look she has in that art really gives you an impression of a Lady of the Old Race, who walks into a room expecting to own it.

Who can convert RM2 stats to RMSS/RMFRP in a comparable format (e.g., Tales from Green Gryphon) in a reasonable format (word or even excel) if provided the RM2 files in Word) fairly quickly and for a modest fee?

My God, I would love to do this, but I don't know enough about the RMSS/FRP systems to be accurate enough.  <sigh>

Same here. I might try to learn it, though RMU is on the horizon. But Haalkitaine 2nd edition is nearly done and it has a TON of NPCs, esp for new adventures. I'd like to see it released by the end of the year.

Is there an established conversion process or would the converter need to create one?  I can imagine at least two methods for NPCs and additional methods for other things (like monsters, etc):
1) A detailed process in which you create the equivalent detailed character in RMFRP, based on a set of guidelines:
  • Use the same level and equivalent profession, or closest match, if not directly available
  • Buy skills based on the number of  dev points available (if dev point stats are provided) or else some fixed number
  • Do not use any talents/talent points except racial talents
  • Do not use training packages
  • Develop up to target level, summarize total skill mods and other figured stats
  • Modify equipment or special characteristics for RMFRP

2) One could also just have a set of formulae that translates all the figured stats (HP/stats/skills) from RM2 to RMFRP, but I assume that if that were the process, you could do it yourself fairly easily.

For monsters and the magic items, I would assume that you'd have to do some sort of formula process or look up the equivalent in the RMFRP C&T book (if it exists) and do some manual translation.

What timescale do you want this done in?

Emer IV adventure Haunted Village finally done with RMSS stats, and should be uploaded in the next day or so. It languished for months because we did not have a reliable person to convert my RM2 stats to RMSS. This will be a 12-page PDF 'pay what you want' and depending on how well it does, we may do more of these mini-modules to fill in between the huge books. I am hoping our new conversion person will be willing to take on Haalkitaine, which has many new NPCs (which the PCs might actually meet) and of course the new sewers and catacombs, and about ten adventures.

There would be no need to create the RMSS character wholesale; just look at the RM2 stats and make a general transfer of stats, weapons and skills.

That honestly seems like it should be quite fast and easy then.  Hope to see this stuff soon!

Finally after many delays, a new SW adventure.

Nice! I'll get it as soon as I have a moment.
Just to have an idea, what would be a fair price? 5$? 10$?

It might please some of you to know that I have opened the word file for the second book in the Loremaster novel series and begun a review to refresh my memory. I seem to have entered a manic writing phase!

$2 -- $3 would be great. There is now a separate thread in the Shadow World section you might want to read.

As Captain Janeway said "I don't know why I every gave this up!" (She was referring to coffee.)

There is nearly enough written already for a second book, but it needs serious content editing, which means more writing. Not nearly enough action.

From the Iron Crown Blog, a nice generic listing of stalls you might find in a city (e.g., Haalkitaine or Sel-kai or Lethys).
