Anyone else watching 'The Dragon Prince' on Netlfix? I just started. Elves (who know parkour) and humans, realms of magic, dragons.

watched the whole season today, remembers me a little like "Record of Lodoss War".
I'd swallow cthulhu whole, with sushi and soy-sauce.

I'm only up to ep 4, kind of rationing it. The animation style reminds me of Last Airbender (and one of the producers/creator is from that show). They say they are going to improve the animation for season 2. It's aimed at kids, but has some cool Shadow-worldy ideas.

seams like we will see 6 seasons, each named after one of the sources of magic.
or 7 if we include human-created necromancy/blood-magic.

Yup, noticed all the movie/TV/pop-culture quotes, thought they were pretty-funny and well done. I am up to ep 5 and pretty happy with it so far, the humor is its saving grace for me, as the art is OK, until they go "close-up" on someone, then not so much.

I actually like the Scottish accent for the elves, it is like the creators are saying, "this isn't just for dwarves you know?!?!" It does take a little getting used to...

I find the Scottish accent kind of distracting, and on the lead female it seems to come and go. I'm on the fence about the pop culture quotes. They are funny, but also sometimes jolt the program out of the fantasy world.

  Interesting.

Is this show closer to Game of Thrones/Robotech/Star Blazers/Aeon Flux (you know where characters actually die and bad things happen and the villains win (sometimes at least)? or is it more Disney/Gi Joe?

People die, though there is no gore. An important character already dies by ep 3, and a villain is winning (for now). The stated target age is 11-12. It is definitely not Aeon Flux or Alexander, but I like something lighter once in awhile. It's very much like 'Last Airbender.'

Ahhh Star Blazers. I have Season 1 and Season 2 on VHS!  I didn't bother with Season 3 since it was so poorly done.  I miss Force Five.  If I could find those on DVD, I'd be really happy!

It is PG in the UK and that equates to 8+.

I too was momentarily swept away to the land of my childhood by that Star Blazers reference (kind of like that scene in Ratatouille where the critic tastes the dish and thinks of his childhood). Good times!

Wow, so many peeps remembering Star Blazers, nice.

Thanks for the link. I've found this Art of Noise video has some inspirational environments for Shadow World as well:

Detifoss in Iceland is pretty spectacular - and was used in the film Prometheus. Also impressive are the glacial lakes in Covadonga, northern Spain and the Cirque du Bournillon and the connected Grotte du Bournillon and the Bournillon Gorge in France.

All the best,

Kevin.

BTW, I have not forgotten Emer I and Emer II. I have ported the files into InDesign and already done some work, so they are well in progress, and have some new illos. I am not going to spend quite as much time on them as I am on Haalkitaine, but I want to flesh out some areas, and add adventures. There has been quite a bit of interest in them, as the old editions are not available except as ridiculously expensive copies on ebay.

But I want to finish Emer IV and get these done, and have a complete Emer before 2020. I think that is realistic.

On the page 73 map of the Nomikos library complex the library building itself is missing a number (29.)

Is there going to be an errata thread for Jaiman V2?

It looks like on Page 77 the numbers are missing from the map for rooms 16, 17, and 18.
