Speaking of  errata, p. 110 refers to the Mayor of Letharnen as an appointee of the Duke of Haalkitaine.  Would that be the Emperor?  That's not listed as one of his - or anyone's - titles, and a city seems rather small to have a Duke.

It would make sense for Haalkitaine to be part of barony or county Haalkitaine, and that be one of the many titles contained in Jerrin's "etcetera," and perhaps that polity would be large enough to also contain Letharnen, with the mayors of both being appointed by Jerrin's Minister of Crown Estates.

(This may seem like I'm being picky, but I do alot of politicial intrigue in my campaigns, and someone may live or die based on these intracicies.)

Jaiman just went copper in sales!

Keep the errata coming please. That is one reason we issue the PDF first, before the hardcopy: we can fix errors, and of course you get notified that there is an updated PDF you can download free.

Random thought as the possible Cat 4 storm looms: I am leaning towards publishing a PDF of sections of the next Loremaster Legacy on RPG Fiction as I write them as 'pay what you wish.' Partly because I don't want to commit to a full book, and partly because that conversion to all the ebook formats was a PIA.

Also, I have a couple of copies of the large trade-size first book (that I had planned to bring to Gencon) that I would be happy to sign and send if anyone is interested. Send a PM and we'll talk postage.

I would certainly buy installments of the next loremaster as PDFs.

While I would like to see the next book, what I don't like about the idea of selling the chapters is that you can start reading something that never gets finished.

Stay safe in the storm. I'm from back east originally and I kind of miss hurricanes. Out here the weather is boring, we haven't had a lightning storm in maybe 10 or 12 years, but every so often the ground decides to getup and walk around for a bit. Trade you :D

But having read the first book of a series means it is already an unfinished tale. Every installment makes it one step closer to completion at best or simply longer at the very worst.

Although I have played is SW I had never visualised the world until I had read the loremaster legacy.

Loremaster Legacy is complete to a good stopping point. Books that come to an unplanned end somewhere in the middle won't feel as right as the ending of the first book did.

Totally agree with you that Loremaster really gives you a feel for ShadowWorld.

I think I have a harder time with the idea that it might not be finished than the idea of it being doled out a chapter a time. As long as anyone who bought all the chapters could download a full book at the end, the periodical format isn't really a drawback.

I kind of felt that the first book had barely got started, the foundation stones for a much greater story, rather than being a standalone story.

This looks like a very serious storm. And BTW, back in 2011 (?) we actually had a 6.x earthquake here in VA. Scared the crap of of me, and damaged the Washington Monument!

Well thanks! That inspires me to go forward. As I have mentioned, a lot of the second book is already done, but I have lacked the will to finish it. Doing it online in sections (as I originally wrote Kalen's Tale) is much easier.

Loremaster novel:

You guys got me inspired. I opened the book 2 Word file and lots there; several chapters. I am thinking I may just post it as RPG Fiction pay as you want and go as I can write it. What do you think? First one will be very large and I'd hope you are generous and spread the word.

Yeah Hurricane's can be lethal, and I don't mean to make light of them. I think having entire apartment buildings come down when the ground shakes is worse though. Plus you don't get more than a few seconds of warning in a quake, and that's only if you have a cat. You can flee ahead of a hurricane, unless you are crazy like me and run towards them.

Still, I think it takes a volcano with a nice big pyroclastic flow to top a big quake.

Let's just be happy Flow Storms and Mount Kadæna are a thing of imagination. XD

I would give a decent donation if it was pay as you want, but I might also be inclined to wait until it's complete. I'm just not sure how I would break on the when of it, but I definitely wouldn't stiff you on the purchase. I like your work, and labor deserves compensation.

Volcanoes are cool, in a hot sort of way. Even my horse is named after one.

I am lucky, I guess, we don't get hurricanes or earthquakes worth mentioning.

I know I should concentrate on finishing Haalkitaine, but I keep bouncing over to do some writing on Emer IV. And maybe I'll do a little work on Shadowstone...
