I like it by the region, it is easy to determine who is where.
Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Scratch that. Power attracts the corruptible.

Rules should not replace the brain and thinking.

It's true! It's true! The Prince has made it clear.
The climate must be perfect all the year.

A law was made a distant moon ago here:
Summer and Autumn cannot be too hot.
And there's a legal limit to the rain here
In Eidolon.
The winter is forbidden till the New Year
And once it's over the frosts must be gone!
By order, Summer lingers through the mid-year
In Eidolon.
Eidolon! Eidolon!
I know it sounds a bit bizarre,
But in Eidolon, Eidolon
That's how conditions are.
The rain may never fall till after sundown.
By light, the morning fog must disappear...

Guess what I've been working on the last few days. Delving into all kinds of new Eidolon/Sel-kai details, like mail service, city criers, timeline updates, adventures...

Finishing up my Emer III adventure layouts then back to Eidolon.

I am curious what SW fans would like to hear from me on the forums. As you can probably tell, I visit often, and I love to interact with people who like SW. Would you like a section where you can ask specific questions about aspects and places, and if so, would you like it answered for the GM by me and/or by some semi-reliable source like the Loremasters?

That sounds like a good idea, like the old Ask Andraax section. When there are enough, possibly they could be expanded, if needed, neatened up and combined in a supplement too.

I like region realm and in the back if there are not too many, if there are a lot then I like them in the sections if they have notes to their positioning so I do not have to flip back and forth a lot. But on the other hand it is nice if they are in the back of a hard copy so you can photo copy the page for easy reference.

I would definitely appreciate this. Kulthea is so complex that it can overwhelm a DM; to be able to ask a quick question when running a campaign in it would be great!

Rather than contaminate the new Ask Andraax thread that was opened, I thought I'd post this here. How about posting the old Ask Andraax questions from the old site in the first post of the new thread?

Just another image that I thought captured those lakes and fjords in Tanara; the land is steep and deeply cut in many areas!

Been working on Eidolon adventures (and then I need to do some reading...). It's hard to summarize the things I am adding to the new edition, but basically I am fleshing out aspects of almost every section. It's been fun revisiting this book, and I have some fond memories of inking in the city map back in the ICE offices in Charlottesville.

I actually looked through what files I had from the site, and for some reason I can't find the Andraax questions.  :(

I spend waaaay too much time agonizing over names for certain things and places, while names for people usually come easy. For instance, I'm working on the Wuliris module (still waiting on RMSS stats and art for Emer III) and I took forever deciding on names for some mountains in NE Jaiman.

Thanks (I forgot about the wayback machine, what a resource!) though actually not a lot of interesting questions there... the City of the Dead one will be answered fully in E3. and the others, meh. I'd like some new questions!

Why is it that all the French have a fascination for The City of the Dead ?  ;D
( I have it too and that question could have come from me )

Edit : but when I needed the information ( say 1992-ish ) Internet didn't make us lazy and ask...
I made several plans for some of the buildings there for one of my campaign. ( I took the Emer Boxes Set Cover as guideline. )
514 to see, 416 to lock, 614 to shot...Target downed...Ask the marines to pick up the pieces.

I think a lot of the fascination was of course that beautiful, evocative artwork from the Emer box

Do you still have those plans?  ;)

I can't speak for everyone, but if I had a control system like the Enterprise bridge and lots of time, I would be pressing buttons. I might take careful notes and not rush through it, but button-pressing would definitely be happening.

At least on the NextGen bridge the buttons seemed to have some kind of labels, whereas on TOS, all those candy-like buttons were mysterious. If you every watched the end of Is there in Truth No Beauty in TOS, when Kolos/Spock lays in the course, he is doing all kinds of tricky multi-button combos.

Of course, if you are Dr Who's Amy Pond on Dinosaurs on a Spaceship, the philosophy is to 'just start pressing buttons' and amazingly, things just start to work.

Lots of work done on the NE Jaiman module... I've added a ton of locations to the map, and today going to flesh things out, and some work on the infamous Taranian subshuttle, and the installations. People are still asleep there... though some may no longer be the same...

Probably, I'll need to dig them out and scan them though as their last known location is hidden somewhere in a box ( not sure which one ).
I saw them when I moved two years ago. Now the sad part is that I lost the description that went with them. So it's going to be just bare plans once I find them.
( or I never wrote a description of the rooms... I was big on plans at that time, but I was mostly doing descriptions on the fly )

Edit : Actually it wasn't THAT hidden, I found them. And the good bit is that there's a really threadbare description of things with them. ( really threadbare : Room # : kind of room, but there's some interesting bits. [ and fond memories ]  )

Oh and I hope I'm not scaring people that NE Jaiman will be all technology; far from it. There will be plenty of SW fantasy environment, with Umli, Frost-elves and the regular inhabitants (much like Xa-ar). And anyway, as Arthur C. Clarke said, "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic."
