I wish someone would run a SW game using Fantasy Grounds! I'd love to play. Unfortunately I don't have the energy/time to set up and run a game, unless I had an assistant...

I'm thinking about starting up a game using Skype as the medium.  I do have a bit of a site set up for what I intend to be my next SW campaign on Obsidian Portal (look up "Rust of Coming Ages").  If you're interested, I'd think about it a whole lot harder...

I'm not sure about skype. I don't want my camera on. Call me paranoid.

I think it would be a little intimidating to run a SW game with you as a player!

I played in an online demo for Fantasy Grounds a few years ago, and I thought I behaved ok. ;-) I'd never played in an online interactive game where you were connected live and could speak to the other players and the GM. I loved it!

Actually one of the other players was surprised how I got into playing my female (rogue?) character. Most of the other guys were from the UK, and maybe a little more restrained but I like to really role-play my character. It was fun.

And as far as being intimidating: I certainly would never second-guess or criticize the GM! SW is what you make it. I respect anyone who makes the effort to be a GM. It is a lot of work.
It would not be second-guessing or criticism I would worry about, it would be like running MERP with Tolkien sat at your table.

Which could be pretty awesome.
I would be worrying constantly, did I pronounce that correctly, did I describe that the way Kevin/Tolkien meant it to be and do on.

Hey I have trouble pronouncing some of my own words. K'ta'viiri, for instance  ;)

I think you can take it as a compliment that I used the pair Kevin/Tolkien in a sentence. If I ever GM for you it would have be with you using an assumed name and possibly a false moustache.

Absolutely!

Just a quick update... I am doing some ICE/GC layout work for HARP Loot, but I have resumed work on revisions for Emer I and Emer II, along with writing on Emer IV (I really want to have complete Emer atlases all in print at once). Also Jaiman Wuliris (with lots of Taranian tech). I was stalled a bit on the Emer I maps (which sucked) but I think we have a good solution. I could also be doing work on the layout for upcoming HARP Folkways. Busy busy!

What seems to be the problem with the maps?

Well if you have Emer II, you know that I did very detailed contour maps in watercolor and pen. They look nice but took forever. I really want to use them again in the new edition, but it's not practical to do that for Emer I and IV, so we'll be going with something else.

Here's one of Emer I's maps by comparison. I don't think they're bad really, although I would like to see consistency across all four atlases.

Understandable -- if I'm not specifically using my camera, I have it covered.  But I don't mind if a hacker wants to listen in on a ShadowWorld game.

You can see there is a huge difference in quality

Ugh been sick for what seemed like forever. Doing much better now and finishing up layout of LOOT for HARP, then back to Shadow World.

Going back to Emer I and paging through it. More already done than I remembered. Map issue resolved. Hope to have it ready to submit in a few weeks! I'd like to have I and II out again before finishing IV.

Good to hear. So does the revision of Emer I look promising for release next year then?

Definitely. I'd like to even get Emer IV and Shade out in 2017 too, but that may be ambitious.

Or confident. Confident sounds better.

What stage is Lethys at?; I don't recall seeing that one mentioned in a while.

It's moving slowly. While the content is great, it basically requires a grammatical rewrite.

Hey languages are not my thing either. :-(  But I remember being a guest at a convention in Boras Sweden many years ago and most of the kids running the con spoke excellent English.
