Hello all,

Reading over the Druidstaff spell from The Codex. A player has asked if they could have their Druidstaff already enchanted prior to the game starting and if so, how far up can he have it.

Just going by the spell as written, I can't see it as anything other than a super fast way for a character to start the game with a +25 OB, +5 Spell Adder for free.

Am I missing something? Are the Druidstaff enchantments temporary? Is it manufactured like a regular magic item? What is the downside to putting a single rank in the spell and beginning the game with a kick ass magic item?
