Title: Resin Models
Post by: egdcltd on July 27, 2017, 02:50:57 PM
So, I was looking at what this guy makes http://www.customterrain.net/ and it looks pretty cool. Because I really need a new timesuck.

Whilst I wouldn't be looking to manufacture commercially on this http://www.customterrain.net/about.html sort of scale, I would assume that it would cost less as a hobby.

Worldsmith https://worldsmithindustries.com/ (https://worldsmithindustries.com/) posted some notes about how he makes his resin terrain during his last Kickstarter: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/48375726/resin-wargaming-scenery-and-terrain-ancient-ruins/posts/1668726 (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/48375726/resin-wargaming-scenery-and-terrain-ancient-ruins/posts/1668726)  Might be of interest to you, even if you skip some steps (e.g. starting with 3D printing is not required). He does nice work, too, I backed a couple of his campaigns.

Also very cool. Yes, I'd like a 3D printer but it's a bit of a needless extravagance at the moment.
