SW Professions Spreadsheet. Attached is our complete SW "professions" we have developed over the last 10-15 years. Many of the NPC's in SW don't quite bit the RM and Base List ruleset (Loremasters, Navigators). These are also apprenticeship training packages: players pick a cultural background then a profession training package which includes a predefined skill set, items, money etc so character generation goes quickly and also provides a basic background.
There are almost 70 "professions" but in reality there are much more. Mages include any pure essence users(Fire Mage, Water Mage, Illusionist etc) We use these in conjunction with our Spell Law version that I posted on RM forum. They aren't organized by realms (arms, essence, channeling, mentalism, hybrid, semi) since we allow players to learn from multiple magic realms. This justifies Loremasters and Navigators which are different professions but have a second set of base lists and also eliminates hybrid realms which never made much sense for us.
So how is this useful? It's a fairly comprehensive list that provides allows for any character depicted in SW material without the more esoteric professions that didn't fit the SW setting.
