expressing Shamanism
« on: May 15, 2009, 09:14:48 AM »
I wanted to express Shamanism from GURPS Religion into Rolemaster terms.  The Animist doesn't seem to cut how Shamanism works as described in GURPS Religion.  I'm thinking a Priest template would be better.

Any suggestion on Channeling Base lists?

Isn't there a shaman in RoCoII or III?

I don't have GURP's religion; can you hit the high points of how it defines Shamanism?

I'd better get the book when I'm least distracted. *grins*

There's a Shaman in RoCoII, indeed. He's pretty much a mix between an Animist and a Cleric, with lists dealing with Spirits, animals and plants.
The world was then consumed by darkness, and mankind was devoured alive and cast into hell, led by a jubilant 紗羽. She rejoiced in being able to continue serving the gods, thus perpetuating her travels across worlds to destroy them. She looked at her doll and, remembering their promises, told her: "You see, my dear, we succeeded! We've become legends! We've become villains! We've become witches!" She then laughed with a joyful, childlike laughter, just as she kept doing for all of eternity.

I had a RMSS/FRP Shaman priestly profession built using Channeling Companion rules.  Seeing how you're looking for one, I uploaded it, once its reviewed it should be available.  I hope that helps.

Seeing how there's been 16 downloads, any comments on the profession as I built it?  I'd just like some feedback :)
