Midwifery Ways?
« on: November 06, 2007, 05:18:32 PM »
Isn't there a Channeling list (or, I thought, a profession) for midwifery in some old RMC2 based RMC Companion? I looked through them and couldn't find it.

Thanks!

Terry :)

I also like the lists in Shades of Darkness. I cannot list them as I have missplaced the book since the move but the are very diabolical or very productive depending on your view.

Thank you! I even thought it was RMC I but missed it, looking only at the professions...

that diagnosis spell saw a lot of use on non pregnant folks in my games and me playing. . .it's the only general purpose, super lore, scan for any and all injuries spell I can think of off the top of my head in all of RM.

Good point LM, the other option I can think of are medical secondary skills.

Nice to be able to do the Dr McCoy on someone. . .it's 8th level, compared to the 1st level "Lores" on all the other lists. . .but one 8th was worth six 1sts. . . .

I loved that Spell List.  And I basically loved how RoCoI treated sex and childbirth.  I still use the rules in RMSS.

In my campaigns we allowed Midwifery Ways as a base list to both the Chanelling Healer and Mentalism Lay Healer. This is just too valuable a list not to have spread across the realms.

Probabley a good list to give to Witches as well.

I liked the list so much I made it prosaic back in the day.  A common list mid wives of the guild learned.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time... like tears in rain... Time to die.

I made the list Professionel List or Guild List. I think that they are too powerfull to be Prosaic :)
I'm new here, but have played RM2 on and off for 20 years. :)

At high level, it allows some pretty dramatic effects.
