First of all, is there a demo of how to do a directed spell attack in the adventure module? I can't get it to work.

Also, it seems I have a magician character with directed spell shock bolt skill but the profession bonus has not been applied. Why?

Both RMC and RMFRP includes a Magician sample character, who has ranks in Fire Bolt. This skill is declared as an Offensive Bonus, so it will show up during combat.
In both systems, the profession bonus is correctly displayed and applied to the total bonus.

just choose the directed skill of your liking from the list of attacks. You need to have at least 1 rank in the skill for it to be listed.

Let us know if you see any difference between the sample character and the new character you are creating.
