Is this a typo in Arms law?
« on: April 09, 2019, 01:42:10 AM »
Arms Law, page 36, the combat example reads:

Gauth’s player rolls a 41. He has 140
OB devoted to the attack, but he only
used 50% activity (-50) in the attack
because he had to run to reach melee.
Lesser Orc 2 has 30 DB plus 10 DB
parry. The net roll is 91 (41 + 90– 50 – 30
–10).

Surely this should read "The net roll is 91 (41 + 140– 50 – 30
–10).

Can someone confirm?

You appear to be correct.  It should read one of two ways:

1)  91 = (41 + 90 - 30 - 10)   <--  The 90 coming from 140 OB - 50

2)  91 = (41 + 140 - 50 - 30 - 10)  <-- The -50 being the penalty from the 140 OB

If discretion is the better valor and
cowardice the better part of judgment,
let's all be heroes and run away!
