Conveying Ways Errata
« on: April 17, 2011, 07:27:17 AM »
Mark,

I saw a ROCO II errata thread, so here's one for that book:
pg 86 - Conveying Ways
Flying Disk I - Text says 5' diameter, Table says 5'R
Flying Disk II - Text says 1'/lvl diameter, Table says "1 elemental"
Flying Disk III - Text says nothing about size, Table says "1 elemental" (I had assumed same size as Flying Disk II)

Ciao,
Old Man

So the table should say 5' and 1'/lv and 1'/lv?

Diameter, yes it appears so. (5 foot dia, 1 foot/lvl dia, 1 foot/lvl dia)

I personally think (and play) it as being 5'R and 1'R/lvl because any other book and spell description have disc areas expressed in radius, not diameter. That being considered, having 2.5'R and 0.5'R/lvl would then be kinda weird whilst 5'R and 1'R/lvl would feel rather coherent with any other spell description.
The world was then consumed by darkness, and mankind was devoured alive and cast into hell, led by a jubilant 紗羽. She rejoiced in being able to continue serving the gods, thus perpetuating her travels across worlds to destroy them. She looked at her doll and, remembering their promises, told her: "You see, my dear, we succeeded! We've become legends! We've become villains! We've become witches!" She then laughed with a joyful, childlike laughter, just as she kept doing for all of eternity.

That being considered, having 2.5'R and 0.5'R/lvl would then be kinda weird whilst 5'R and 1'R/lvl would feel rather coherent with any other spell description.

I play it as 5'R as well (more space for 2-3 people to sit/lay down/etc.) so a change in that direction would be fine as well.

Going one last time for someone to speak up:

(And BTW I'm a Marc, the other Mark is a Mark.  ;) )

pg 86 - Conveying Ways
Flying Disk I - Text says 5' diameter, Table says 5'R
Flying Disk II - Text says 1'/lvl diameter, Table says "1 elemental"
Flying Disk III - Text says nothing about size, Table says "1 elemental" (I had assumed same size as Flying Disk II)

Ciao,
Old Man

Those should be read as
Disk I     5'r
Disk II    1'/lv radius
Disk III   1'/lv radius
