Okay, maybe some one else named their world, Terra Syn.

That is possible, but would be very weird.

Yes, it would be.

Is it worth the investment?  Or should I try another mapper software?

I have used it from time to time and enjoyed the experience, but it is like a decade since I roleplayed enough to devote time to do maps so I have not had it installed on my computer for quite some time. Thus I cannot tell if there are problems running the software on modern operating systems or if it still works well as it used to do.

The major downside of the software is obviously the price so you need to make quite a few maps for it to be worthwhile. If add extra packs the likelihood that you use the software increases, but the price becomes even higher. For instance, I never actually needed to make castle maps from scratch but from add-on:s I got a number of sample castles that with minor modifications could be used directly as adventure locations.

If you are just after quick and dirty maps, stuff like https://watabou.itch.io/medieval-fantasy-city-generator for cites and similar services can take you quite far.

Got it, still use it... infrequently.

Very good for those that know how to use it well.  Check out all the youtube videos.  I always seem to have issues producing "the map the way I want it"... but there is a huge array of symbols available... so I tend to use it for dungeons (DD3) and small towns mostly (CD3) ;)

Probably NOT worth investing in it if you don't intend using it A LOT... however, it's been available as a bundle on Humble Bundle several times... ;)
