What are your thoughts about the Warlock profession and the training package?

For me, I wonder if having the profession available at all would cause some balance issues.  The training package is well done, after looking at it.  I wonder if the profession is necessary at all. What do you think?

I suspect, for most, it would be almost entirely a matter of if you like the spell list selection you'd end up with between the to potential characters.
