Hi all,
I normally left the above calculations to the Excel character sheet but now that I've added the new Combat Companion Armour Ratings to the sheet, I'm in need of clarification.
As far as I can work out, I understand the following (and please correct me if I'm wrong)...
MMP (Movement Manoeuvre Penalty) - This is your Armour's Min Penalty or your Armour's Max penalty PLUS your Armour Skill depending on which is the lower result of the two. (RMFRP p34)
This MMP is used as a penalty against all MMs (Movement Manoeuvres) rolls (and 3 times the penalty for the swimming skill). It also acts as a penalty to your Quickness bonus used in your DB calculations (but it only cancels out the Qu bonus - doesn't take it lower than 0). This does not effect your OB (Offensive Bonus) as far as I can tell.Encumbrance - This is a penalty based on the -8 per multiple over the character's weight allowance (10% of the character's weight) you are. (RMFRP p56)
This doesn't seem to effect anything besides the character's Weight Penalty (below)Weight Penalty - This is worked out by adding your MMP, Encumbrance and 3 times your Strength Bonus. (RMFRP p56)
This only seems to effect the maximum pace you can travel at.Do any of the above penalties effect the skills (Besides the MMP) or do any effect your Offensive Bonus?
I would have thought that your Weight Penalty would also effect your MM skills as well as the MMP and that both would also effect your OBs but I can't seem to find more info on it in the book. And the Encumbrance, is it really
ONLY used in calculating the Weight Penalty and nothing else?
Thanks for your help and clarification.
