SMP:VM Flaw Q

When you design a ship it is possible to have a flaw creep into the design, this lowers the cost of the design. If and when these problems are corrected does the price automatically go up?

I am torn between yes it goes up to the normal price and it goes up by some fraction of the price. Because IMO every time a problem is fixed it does not mean that it is fixed in the most expensive way. Maybe the designers have thought of a new way to get around some of the age old problems.

I would have it go up to the normal price.  People shouldn't get long-term breaks for mistakes (at least not every time).

Thanks maybe I will make some kind of chart that has a cost vs flaw fix chart so it might be slightly possible to have it happen.

That sounds like a good solution.

Right now I am thinking about a 3-8% chance that it will work out positive but I need to sit down and look at what I am going to use for modifiers for the roll before I give an actual number.
