Gorger
« on: May 25, 2009, 10:47:59 AM »
Hi, I was just wondering (the standard beginning of it seems all my questions here) how you dealt with the Gorger's feeding frenzy. Do you let it fall into a frenzy according to the frenzy skill or do you assume it is already in its stats? Point being is that it is just developed as a fighter of its skill and does not gain any special offensive bonus or somesuch thing.

I treat it as the skill.
A military solution isn't the only answer, just one of the better ones.

the Gorger's "feeding frenzy" is NOT already figured into its stats..

EXCELLENT! ;D Then maybe sometime after the first attack after it has tasted blood it will go into the frenzy all by itself more like a lycanthrope losing control than like a fighter bringing himself into a rage. Got to figure out how this works out for that beast. Survival Instinct definitely should not work under those circumstances. (Thanks for the comments by the way.)

Just to top things off or to get them over the top: imagine an undead gorger in frenzy ....

Just to top things off or to get them over the top: imagine an undead gorger in frenzy ....
In that case, I kill it with a bolt through the head AND fire.

Wouldn't that just result in a Frankensteinian Flaming Undead Gorger in frenzy?

8), wrong bolt.  I meant a crossbow bolt.  Just like shooting a zombie in the head.  The point is to prevent the undead, flaming, frenzying Gorger from setting other things on fire in addition to it's other attacks.

With the consumption ability those beasts are really going to be nigh indestructable.
