Shadowblade question...
« on: January 17, 2008, 07:15:28 PM »
I did a search but didn't find this particular question being asked, so I'm sorry if it already has been.

The Shadowblade begins with a +10 to all subterfuge skills according to its description in The Codex. Is there a reason that they aren't simply given the Subtle talent, or is this purposely so that they can stack a strong bonus to their subterfuge skills.

This is likely an obvious one, but I just wanted to make sure that it was not a misprint. Thanks in advance! :)
My wizards are many, but their essence is mine. Forever they are in the hills in their stone homes of grief. Because I am the spirit of their existence. I am them.

No, its not a misprint. They were given a +10 bonus to subterfuge skills because that is what I thought they should have.  ;D It is written the way it is because it never occurred to me to give them the talent.

No big mystery. No secret underlying reason....

Should the Talent be allowed?

Personally, I would leave that up to the GM at this point. If he is running something of a high-powered game then yes. If he is running more of a low powered gamed, then no.

Thanks for the quick reply! This certainly makes for an interesting option for characters of the shady persuasion! :)
