Shield Spell
« on: September 23, 2007, 06:06:24 PM »
A couple of players were discussing the shield spell last night. Can a player use a two handed weapon with the shield spell? One player thought yes - the shield moves on its own. The other player thought no - it behaves like an ordinary shield in every other respect. We couldnt find it definitively stated anywhere (though the search was occurring through play, so wasnt particularly focussed).  Id appreciate hearing the official answer. :)

There are no restrictions on what the character may be doing while the shield spell is active. The bit about treated as a normal shield in all other respects refers to what it may or may not be able to block.

Thanks, Rasyr. So two-handed weapon is OK. I have one player who will be very pleased. :)
