Martial Arts Companion question
« on: August 05, 2019, 08:47:48 AM »
I am making a style and wondering if you select say Locking Holds as one of your attacks, is it still restricted?  What determines whether a skill is restricted or not?  Also this isn't going to be a full on Martial Arts campaign, the style is going to be unique and mainly self taught.  Any thoughts on the restricted skills would be great.

I was thinking if they bought it into their style, it wouldn't be restricted.  Thanks in advance.

Yes is still a restricted skill. Putting it into a style only allows you to increase it over degree 1.
Remember that a self taught style can't be use to attack until you have 10 degrees in the style skill.
At least this is what is written in the companion. But the last word is up to the Master of course. Be sure not to unbalance the game with your choices.
