What indicates a fumble?
« on: January 28, 2014, 02:29:14 PM »
I know it is a real basic generic question, but....
Which fumble range do I use when attempting a combat style?
Each weapon type has it's own fumble range, from 01-02 to a 01-06. But skills generally have a 01-05 fumble range and the combat styles are skills. When using the combat styles you are to use the Combat style bonus as your attack bonus, but sometimes the skill fumble range (01-05)is higher than a weapon fumble range (01-02), but there are some weapons that have a fumble range of (01-06).
What would is the official rule here?
Would it be the highest of the two fumble ranges or is it based on the combat style or weapon fumble ranges?

I ask this because I want to be fair to my players.

When using a weapon, the weapon fumble range overrides the 01-05 range.

Thanks Thom,
Since I couldn't find that in the books I wanted to know the official ruling before I made a ruling of my own.
