Thrown containers (oil etc.) - one roll or two to resolve?
« on: April 25, 2013, 07:33:48 PM »
Hi all,

HARP 2nd ed q. For thrown objects (like oil flasks) - is the damage resolved on the same roll as the to-hit (like missile weapons)? If so, what table is used? Heat for oil? Alternately, if the damage is resolved separately (on heat table), then what table is used for the Throw?

Thanks,
Old Man

1 roll is used.
Crit chart depends upon item.
Burning Oil = Heat (see notes under Grenade-like attack in the adventuring chapter)

As far as which attack roll - Weapon Skills (Thrown projectiles)
If they haven't developed it, consider it at 0 ranks

Thanks. I've seen some systems treat the throw as a simple AG-based MM and then the damage like a Fireball spell ...
