Hello All!
I pulled several ideas from RMC I, RMSS, RMFRP and RM2. This can also be streamlined for a specific version of RM (most of the code is for RMSS and RMFRP). The application is written in VB.NET 2008. It will eventually with Windows XP SP3, Windows Vista and Windows 7.
Here is what I currently have:
1) Random Dice Roller (D100, D100UM, D100 open-ended, XdX dice -whatever combination you want!)
2) Maneuver Table lookup (Trivial to Almost Impossible) I got this from an expanded chart so it covers more than Routine through Absurd)
3) Static Maneuver Tables for all categories! This saves between 5 to 15 min looking up all Static rolls!
4) Horse Trait table (and will be including all the horse stats from the back of GM Law) This was JUST so much fun to code!
5) Potion Creation utility - randomizing the look, feel, smell, taste
and viscosity of potions found (This is from a Dungeon Magazine which can be excluded because of copyright infringement)
6) "Over 150" chart lookup and number crunching attack for results over 150 (we use it for that 385 attack roll!). This is from the "Over 150" chart and calculations from the RMC I.
7) Herb database and lookup by Region and Climate code - 350+ herbs! (working on returning herb by Difficulty, AF and Name) – Currently, selecting both climate codes and a result will be cross indexed for the area the PC’s search… this was the first priority since Herbs were almost NEVER used in my Campaigns and now it is almost ALWAYS used!
Resistance Roll chart lookup for Base Attack
9) Weapon Table OB result lookup. (this is a HUGE time saver also!)
10) Spell casting static maneuver (and all modifiers) this is a little buggy however I am working diligently on this table as it is used many times during a game session.
Working on currently,
1) Critical tables result lookup to follow the OB attack roll lookup
2) Creatures and monsters DB lookup for quick reference to any monster stat.
3) Initiative tracker (JUST initiative for now)
4) Talent and flaw generator (or lookup)
5) Treasure Generator (the 5 or 6 tables in Treasure companion but eventually would like to include all data from all RM Companions and modules)
6) Anything else I manage to squeeze in before playing time that would help alleviate wasted time!!!!!!!!!!!!
Suggestions welcome! Especially since I am in the beginning stages of development!
