:D deflection spell talks about deflecting "missiles", but a "missile" its ONLY a projectile shor from a sling/bow/crossbow or i can use this spell also to deflect a thrown dagger/axe/sword ??
-
As I understand misile is anything that can be thrown to you using your strenth of any mecanical stuff

so missile is only what i throw using a missile weapon? so only bow/sling/crossbow.. hmm

Any mechanically propelled object (Box/Sling/XBow/Gun)
AND
Any thrown/biologically propelled object (Thrown weapons / blow-pipes / creatures that can launch quills or darts)
-
Anything that flies towards you and is no-longer held by an enemy hand.
Although I don't know about arrows if ridden by fairies... :o

We discount large missiles like boulders & ballista bolts altough that could easily be added as a scaling option.

Or Nodwicks...

Mass Deflection (affect one missile per rank) +10 PP
So you can deflect more than one incoming projectile per round. Is there any possibility to shoot more than one missile on the other hand? Mayby a combat action like multishot?
-
Perhaps with something like the Haste spells, or Speed x; nothing forbids you in using your 200%-300% activity in firing-reloading-firing.
OTOH, mass deflections are REAL handy when being fired upon by many archers, and you just need to reach that door on the other side of the courtside...

Also the caster does not have to be the target so conceiveably one mage could protect the entire party.

...and unlike THAT other systems, not even PCs can take a good solid arrow and smile through it :D
Sorry for re-animating this old corpse, we were just talking about this last session and felt compelled to say it ;D
