Title: DB questions

Some quick questions!
1) Can a Shield DB be used angainst Rear Attacks?
2) Can a Shield DB be used angainst Surprise Attacks?
3) If you use the Two Weapons Style against 2 different opponents and reduce your OB to Parry, the same value is used as DB against both opponents?

1) No, not normally (certain situations or talents might allow for such)
2) Yes, if it is readied and on hand at the time of the attack and other factors do not preclude it.
3) No. You can apply the parry against one opponent or split it between the two but it is not fully applied to both opponents.

Ah ok!
I suppose the same is true for a monk that attacks 2 or more opponents with Martial Arts or a "legendary" fighter that attacks 6 opponents with a Whirlwind attack.
