I am a player who is looking at starting to make non-magical items, magical. I understand the sigil equation of 2 times as many power points as needed for each batch plus the number of days to make said item and, each batch doesn't count the number of increase sigils or duration. That being said, if I use say 17 ranks worth of imbue spell ( 8 for the base, 8 for existing item and 1 for using a 6 pp spell) and +16 for 8 increase sigil scaling options (as a level 10 character), I would still only need 17 ranks in power point projection correct? Or would I need 33 ranks in power point projection too?

It looks as though there are not to many people looking into this.
If I get the chance I will reread the rules on this and get back to you.
Otherwise we will play it by ear till then and go with what you assume....

(I am in and out of marking bouts).
Increase Imprints and Increase Duration scaling options on Imbue spells does not count for power projection ranks.
So 17 ranks in power projection for your example.
