Title: Ritual magic alone?

Has anyone tried using ritual magic in the Essence Companion as the only form of magic in a world (replacement for Spell Law).  How did that run for you?

In the world I made up ritual magic is the only way to cast spell. The campain is focused on finding out what happened in the past that reduce the ability to cast spells and weakened magic.
Of course there are no pure or hybrid spell users within my players, only a Bard.
With ritual magic to cast spell is longer and harder but I think that in a low magic world is the best way to handle magic.
