Is there interest in a HARP SF sourcebook for the Imperium setting (as used in 2nd Edition Spacemaster)?

Best wishes,

IMHO it should be done as it gives people another opportunity to use HARP SF in a pre-constructed universe.

Consider this another vote in favor of using the Imperium as a HARP SF setting. i already do just that...

I know this might not be possible due to the fact that a sci-fi version of RMU will be at least a couple (if not more) years out, but it might be worth considering combining such a work into covering the Imperium setting for all the rule systems: HARP-SF, SM2/C, SM-P, and SMU.

I had thought about offering to try my hand at something like this, but have little enough spare time as it is with my current writing project and other things going on.

I'd love it for an eventual SMU but support it being used for HARPSF & other ICE games especially new adventures for SM2.

Yes, great idea. The Imperium is a great, Golden Age SF sort of setting that would be great to get back into.

And don't shy away from adding fresh adventure seed ideas to that eventual HARP SF / Imperium publication.

Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Scratch that. Power attracts the corruptible.

Rules should not replace the brain and thinking.

Mungo

Yes, because the current setting does not appeal to me and there are adventure supplements that can be reused

naphta23

Yes. Yes, there is interest.

Since my free time is a rather rare and quite shy animal, times as they are, I fear I cannot contribute workwise.  :(

Is there a possibility to spend some green in advance to help the authors and speed things up?  ???

Tintamar is an interesting setting, but so much of the heavy lifting has already been done in the Imperium setting.  I say yes for the Imperium!

Personally I think anything you have for Rolemaster or Spacemaster should become available for HARP (Fantasy or SF). If you had some kind of conversion rules in place then people like me could do all the work until an official product is produced.

When you game, game like you mean it! Game Hard!

GuernseyMan

Absolutely.

I am currently running an Imperial Setting campaign using the Alternity ruleset (remember that). It is a pain to try and convert all the sourcebooks so I've decided to convert the characters to HARP SF and play old school SM but using HARP SF characters. I'm about halfway through the conversion now!

I would pay good money for a new version of the setting for HARP! ;D

I do, and like that system - I had hoped it was what 3rd edition was going to be way back in the day.

What is Alternity? I am not familiar with it.

An early SFRPG published by TSR along with several settings for the game.

Of course, Imperium is a great setting to be used for HARP SF also.

I am definitely interested.

Would buy.

Make the books generic and then sell needed stats/system specific stuff separately.
