Hi, Moloch,
Yeah, Blender is quite a nice program to use- but different programs have differing features, which can be useful in different ways.
Personally, I like to use Bryce for creating Landscapes (but hate it for it's slow rendering speed), Organica for creating Organic objects- I'm still getting to grips with Wings3D- and mainly utilize Imagine for the rest of the modelling and Rendering, because of Imagine's superb Texture system and comparative speed compared to most of the other apps. (Imagine was the my first 3D Rendering and Modelling program back in the days before my Amiga A1200's monitor decided to start smoking...)
I guess it's a case of using the right tool for the right job- and some people find one program easier to learn to use than another, for certain tasks because of the relative learning curves involved.
One thing with TrueSpace is the fact that a group of people can over the web,
all work on the same scene at the same time....?
Which as far as I know, is unique to TrueSpace.
But, it's nice to be able to try different programs- especially when they are free!
All the Best,
Kevin.
