I will mention it with Anders the next time I speak to him.

As for Carl Cramer it is right one. He said he would get in touch when he is back from a trip. He also mentioned that he is in contact with Markus Kaipainen (that nowadays is named Markus Viklund)

Ran into Tim Taylor on Board Game Geek site.  He was the author of Journey to the Magic Isle, The Orgillion Horror, Cyclops Vale, Alchemy Companion, various other RoCo stuff as well as co-author of Bladestorm and author of the Bladestorm Bestiary.

Passed info along to him regarding the forums here and your email Nick.

Is this list current?  Or have some lost authors been located and not crossed off?

Thanks.

For what its worth, I contacted Laura Reutter today.  I passed her the link to this thread; she seemed pretty accepting when it came to reprinting old material, so hopefully she contacts you.

Lem Richards is on facebook (https://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/lem.richards) - given common friends in Ross Henton, I assume it is him.

This looks promising for Anna Gaultney

https://www.campwesleywoods.com/anna-bio.html

As does this for Mary Sue Sroda

https://www.murraystate.edu/academics/CollegesDepartments/CollegeOfHumanitiesAndFineArts/EnglishAndPhilosophy/contact.aspx

Both mention their time in the Peace Corps in the 80's

I've been in touch with David Eubanks, co-author of War Law.  Hopefully he will be in contact with ICE soon.

I note that for RMC2, the only author missing is Mike Carlyle; does anybody have an clues?  There is no obvious candidate amongst the many hits when I search for him.  It would be great to have this key Companion back in print.

So from this we can make the following observations:
  • Two products have no author impediments to publications:
    • Martial Arts Companion
    • Rolemaster Companion VI
  • There are a number of people still listed as missing that have made contact through the forums or via email., or for whom we have concrete contact information  Perhaps they just need to have paperwork completed.
    • David Eubanks
    • Matt Esget
    • Earl Wajenburg
    • Neitcha I Bornander
    • Sean Holland
    • Matthew Ellis
    • Joel Thompson
    • Mandy Merts
    • Alessandro Canevese
    • Lem Richards
    • Laura Reutter
    • Ron Goral
  • Completing contact info for the people above would allow publication of:
    • Black Ops
    • Mythic Eqypt
  • The following publications would be enabled by finding single authors
    • RMC2 with Mike Carlyle.
    • War Law with David Blank, and completing 2nd point above.
    • Tales of Loremasters I & II etc.
    • Pirates
    • Space Master Companion I
    • Nomads of the Nine Nations

Just because authors are not lost, doesn't mean there aren't still impediments to publication.

Sorry, that sounded a lot more mysterious then it was meant to. I'm not involved in the finding and publishing of older products but it might be that authors don't want their work published or that we don't have reliable files for older products to make them available. Finding authors is only half the battle.

That's a lot of good work though Boromir! Hopefully it is helpful.

@Hurin: Many hours went in the analysis above so I am glad you appreciate it - it took  hours just to format the awful BBCodes to make it look readable!

@Colin-ICE:  I figured that might be the case, however I wanted to approach this enthusiastically and with optimism for a positive outcome as a fan of the products. I think we can assume though that authors who have self-identified through this thread are favourably inclined towards republication.

I have emailed Nicholas Caldwell to volunteer my help to the task.

Sorry Boromir. I think I came across as a bit pessimistic. Hurin is right, that is some amazing work. Thank you for taking the time to conduct a thorough search and to write it all up. Hopefully it will lead to a new publication and if it does I fully except you to give me a 'Told you so'.

Keep up the good work.

Re: Nomads of the Nine Nations
I'm right here. When I first saw this thread a few years ago, I messaged someone and never heard back.
We ask the hard questions here, because they keep us too busy to worry about the hard questions in the real world, and we can go with the answers we like the best.

It sometimes requires some convincing that dealing with the ICE that we know and love today is worth their while.  I found a couple who I had to explain that certain things have changed before they were even interested in having a discussion.
