The Elementalist
« on: June 01, 2009, 11:08:10 AM »
I've never had an Elementalist in any game I've run nor have I ever played one myself.  Apart from the obviousness of the different spell lists, what are functional differences between the Elementalist and the standard Mage?  How would you compare and contrast them?

Elementalists get out more (Outdoors is favored not Artistic) and tend to specialise in an element (see also Affinity Talents), whereas Mages are much more versatile in spells.

Best wishes,

In my group there was an Elementalist who specialized in Air Magic, having Stun Cloud be his signature spell.  He used it in every encounter.

Mages have more utility, Elementalists have more firepower (excuse the pun).
