I see 2 basic places where a Qu Penalty can reduce a characters current Defensive Bonus.
1. Armor Movement Penalties - can reduce the DB you receive from 2 times your Qu bonus (to a minimum of 0)
2. Penalties received from certain critical effects - reduces DB received from 2 times your Qu bonus (to a minimum of 0)
Are these two penalties considered cumlative - only allowing you to lose a total of your Qu bonus x2 (essentially making your Qu bonus for #2 = (Qu bonus x2) - Armor MP), or is each situation handled individually, that is, say your Qu bonus is 5 giving you a +10 to your DB.
After totaling your armor movement penalty, you come up with an Armor Penalty of 8 MinMP after subtracting your Armor skill. This reduces your overall DB from your Qu bonus to +2.
Then later on you receive a critical resulting in a -10 MM Penalty. Does that -10 apply to the 2 points left over from your initial Qu x2 Bonus or does it reduce your DB the full -10 (going against the raw Qu bonus x2 and not factoring in Qu bonus already lost due to armor reduction)?
Also: How does the Ag/Qu Penalty from Encumbrance effect your DB (if at all)?
