I just bit the bullet and got the Ender 3. I read some reviews and it looks like the pro version isn't worth it even at just an extra $40. At least not for me. It'll be here in 3-7 days.

I'm looking forward to churning out minis.  ;D

I'm not looking forward to having to put it together.  :-\

That's awesome!  You won't have any problem setting it up.  There are so many videos online that will be helpful, which is the main reason I recommended a name brand.  The support community is fantastic.  You don't get that type of available "free help" from less-known brands.  For the few dollars you save, the name brand is the way to go.

I purchased another mini from Hero Forge, but I haven't printed it yet.  It's a rather difficult one and I'm trying to find the best way to run the print.

Someone recommended a resin printer. Granted, I already bought the filament so I'm not changing any time soon, but I'm curious.

Does anyone have experience with those? What's the quality vs. cost difference?

The quality is much higher but there are many more drawbacks.

1st, you can't program it to make scrambled eggs for you.

2nd, you can't cook chocolate chip cookies!

There are also "cutting" printers that cut away the material and leave the model behind.
